The Hennessy Lift
A Dermal filler procedure
This is a new technique adapted from the more basic methods of dermal filler injections. In essence, it is a simplified method to lift the corners of the mouth to overcome the “ unhappy” appearance of a down-turning mouth and also to fill-out the furrows leading to the chin that the down turn produces.
Traditionally, when using dermal fillers to correct a down-turning mouth, multiple injections and quite a volume of filler was used to literally fill the whole area and push up the corners at the same time. This could lead, sometimes, to a less than satisfactory result with the area over-filled causing the appearance of “pouches” and more bruising due to the multiple injections.
This new method involves injecting only once at a specific angle to the corner of the mouth so that the filler can act as a piece of “scaffolding” to prop up the corner of the mouth. Its main advantages are :
1) More effective result
2) Less trauma/less injections and so lower risk of bruising
3) Less filler used so more cost effective
4) Less chance of over-filling and creating “pouches” in the cheeks
